Know matter what you call this breed wether it be Chipoo, Poochi's, or Wapoos. They are truely the best of both breeds & great with the family. I have had nothing, but great comments about my little sweeties. I mostly breed the Long hair Chihuahuas to the poodles to get less of a wirey coat. I hope to have pedigrees on my babies in the future & start doing second generation chipoos. I also hope be able to start trying to set a standard for them. I been breeding them since 2005 & will be breeding them for a long time.
I truely want to advise anyone wanting to start breeding a designer dog to stop & think before doing so. You just don't breed two purebreds just because you think they will be cute puppies. You could end up with puppies you can't sell & their are way to many mixed breeds that need homes setting in shelters/dog pounds. When I am breeding this breed I am hoping they will someday be a purdbred, but it does take alot of work, years, & research. Plus to get registries to start accept takes along time, because you do have to have years of documentation.
